A herd of around 550 bison roam free on Antelope Island, north of Salt Lake City, UT. Based on information on the park website we drove all the way down the west side of the island in seach of these once numerous beasts of the American plains and found only days old evidence of their presence.  After nearly giving up on finding any bison, we circle around the north end and found them grazing in the campground!
