My mission as a fine art nature photographer is to connect people with the nature world around them through my images. It is gratifying to see an organization like TLC being able to leverage one of my images to further their mission in online campaigns and most recently, with the sale of a print of this image, "Dawn on Rocky River" at their Force of Nature Gala and art auction.

My muse and I made a trip down #US1 last month for a little winter break and to see the Coral Reefer Band in Key West (It was Awesome, but chilly at the outdoor amphitheater). Along the way we stopped to make a few frames. The Old Flagler Railroad/Over-Seas-Highway Bridge has always intrigued me by the sky has always be clear on past trips. This time the clouds cooperated, and I was able to make this 2:1 pano that will likely become a large canvas print. I also took along my infrared camera body and had some fun shooting palm fronds. The snow finally began to fall last night and we awoke to a couple of inches of light fluffy snow this morning. Not the 6+ inches initially forecast, but enough for a pretty winter wonderland.

So this happened a short time ago... Make sure your sound is ON! I walked out of the barn to hang up a couple of bird houses I had just repaired and I was greeted by the cry of a Bald Eagle! There were two in fact roosting in a tree in our front yard. We see them fly over form time to time, but this the first that they have landed on the property. They each flew off in a differnet direction. Could they be looking for a nest site???

Made my first photo trip to northern Utah and I'm happy to report my portfolio has grown by two. "Prairie Master" - American bison taken on Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake and "Bonneville Afternoon" - geometric patterns on the Bonneville Salt Flats under the afternoon sun.

Congratulations to SJ, our Q3 winner of a free mystery print. When SJ opened their bag, they found an 11x14 limited-edition of "Tidal Path". I make a random selection from the folks that sign up for my mailing list at art fairs each quarter to receive a print I select. It is funny how the universe works sometimes. As it turns out SJ and their partner collect art on their travels and when they were last on Tybee Island, they failed to procure some Tybee Island art, so this election of a long ride pool on the beach on Tybee was the perfect addition to their travel art collection. Thank you SJ for sharing your story and your interest in my work. I hope our paths cross again soon. If you would like a chance at winning a free print, stop by my art fair booth and sign up.
