Congratulations to SJ, our Q3 winner of a free mystery print. When SJ opened their bag, they found an 11x14 limited-edition of "Tidal Path". I make a random selection from the folks that sign up for my mailing list at art fairs each quarter to receive a print I select. It is funny how the universe works sometimes. As it turns out SJ and their partner collect art on their travels and when they were last on Tybee Island, they failed to procure some Tybee Island art, so this election of a long ride pool on the beach on Tybee was the perfect addition to their travel art collection.
Thank you SJ for sharing your story and your interest in my work. I hope our paths cross again soon.
If you would like a chance at winning a free print, stop by my art fair booth and sign up. I'll be at the Port Warwick Art & Sculpture festival in Newport News, VA this weekend.

Pre-art fair note card production is the morning's priority. Getting ready for @portwarwickevents Art & Sculpture Festival. Sat 10a-6p & Sun 10a-5p on William Styron Square, Newport News, VA.

Happy birthday @carygalleryofartists .

My exhibition,"Trees: Roots, Leaves, & Limbs" is on exhibit at @carygalleryofartists now through Sept 23.
It is my photographic love letter to our tall neighbors that we all too often take for granted.
Just one week left!

Mark your calendars and make your way to downtown Durham Sept 20 & 21 for Durham Arts Council Centerfest! We are back to Section B on south side of E. Chaple Hill Street, Booth B15.

So grateful for the news that "Lake Mattamuskeet Trees" sold on Sunday afternoon. This was the last copy of the limited series in this size, print 20 of 20. This marks a notable milestone in my art career. It is my first series to sell out. If you still have your heart set on adding this lovely image to your collection, fret not. It is still available in other sizes and formats.
Thanks to @carygalleryofartists and Sunday's artist on duty, @lindseysfineart for enabling the purchase. I hope the piece brings the buyer many years of joy. I was told that it holds special meaning for the buyer, reminding them of a life changing high school science field trip to this special lake. Adding their story to my work expands and deepens its meaning. Thank you.

Join me tonight for the opening reception of "Trees: Roots, Leaves, & Limbs", a photographic love letter to trees. Part of the @caryartloop hosted at @carygalleryofartists 6-8pm

North Carolina is home to over 400 native tree species, as well as many invasive varieties. Most days we don’t give the trees in our life much notice. We reap many benefits of the trees around us. They provide shade, stabilize soil, act as marvelous sponges absorbing heavy rainfall, and then slowly releasing it back into the soil, not to mention they sequester CO2, and help generate the oxygen we need to live!
This exhibition highlights their aesthetic beauty, expressed in shape, texture and tone. The collection has come together naturally over years. I have a love for our tall friends, and my lens is often drawn to them on whole or part.
I hope you come away from this exhibition with a new appreciation for our woody neighbors. As you step outside your home, stop and look around. How many trees are your neighbors? Take a moment to get to know them, their shapes, textures, and colors and remember to say thank you for all of the things they do for us.

We are excited to be back at @caryartdaze Lazy Daze once again this year. You can find our booth in our usual location in the shade on Wilkinson Ave between Cary PD and the parking garage, booth B228.

I am grateful for having added a new collector of my work. This limited edition 36"x36" canvas print of Magnolia Blossom now hangs in a new home. We also found that we share several common interests (F1 and Star Wars). May the Force be with you.

I started work on a large canvas (24" x 36") print for a client I met this past weekend at the @cain_park Arts Festival. Producing a limited-edition canvas print is a 3 day process. Day 1 - print and let dry overnight, Day 2 - varnish and let dry overnight, Day 3 - stretch and package for client.
The exceptional quality and reliability of my Canon Pro-4100 printer combined with quality and archival longevity of Breathing Color Lyve canvas plus Timeless varnish enables me to print with confidence with little fuss.

Stared the day with a lovely surprise
