Stared the day with a lovely surprise

It is a milestone day. I have just printed the last copy of the limited edition of "Lake Mattamuskeet Trees" in the 18"x40" matted print format, 20 of 20!
Who will take it home? It goes on display at @carygalleryofartists later today.
Come out this evening for our opening reception for this month's featured artists and @caryartloop Final Friday 6-8pm.

Artsplosure 2025 is now open!

Come to downtown Raleigh this weekend for @artsplosure . The weather looks warm and wonderful, the art will be exquisite and the music will be playing. Stop by booth B26, 5 spaces south of Martin St and say hello.

Come celebrate the beginning of the spring art festival season at Cary Spring Daze tomorrow only! Stop by and say Hi at booth D403.

Greetings friends. Today's rain inspired me to dive back into my catalog of images that didn't quite make the cut when I first reviewed them. This one from a flooded forest at Jordan Lake, NC has started to come alive for me as I have covered it to black and white and pushed the contrast to the point of almost pure black and white and splitting it into a triptych. The next step would be to create a set of canvas prints. I welcome your thoughts.

So excited to add this stunning piece created by @maryritter45 to our collection. It will have a prominent place in our living room after a bit of shifting around of our other artwork. If you want to see more of Mary's work stop by @carygalleryofartists

A huge thank you to the @womansclubofraleigh for inviting me to share my Blue Glacier Then & Now story at your monthly meeting today.

I came across an older image in my catalog that never made it to the portfolio because the composition just didn't do for me. While looking at it I have an idea. What if you mirrored the image and flipped it to make four copies and them assemble them such that it creates both a horizontal and vertical mirror planes.
Well here it is, with the original image for reference. The composite image definitely makes a more compelling image, but is it portfolio worthy?
Thoughts?

We received a nice blanket of white last night.

Attention NC Artists, it is time for you to get SMALL. Apply today for the Small Treasures Annual Juried Exhibition hosted by @carygalleryofartists (link in the gallery's bio)
